Service overview Commodity supply, sourcing and trade coordination across Africa, South East Asia and global markets.
PT Agora Africa Marketing manages the full commodity supply chain under one commercial agreement. Rather than requiring buyers to engage separate providers for sourcing, preparation, freight and customs clearance, we coordinate all four functions directly.
This reduces counterparty risk, simplifies communication and gives the buyer a single point of accountability from the moment the supply agreement is signed through to confirmation of receipt. It also enables tighter control over product quality, handling standards and delivery timing, since all functions are under one management structure rather than distributed across multiple independent operators.
Supply Commodity supply, sourcing and trade coordination across Africa, South East Asia and global markets.
Commodity supply is PT Agora's core function. We source and secure product matched to the buyer's specification, volume requirement and delivery programme and we take contractual responsibility for delivery.
Our supply model is built around the individual client requirement. Rather than offering a fixed catalogue, we assess each engagement on its merits: what the buyer needs, what is available in the market, what logistics are required, and whether the commercial structure is sound for both parties. Where supply can be confirmed on terms acceptable to the buyer, we proceed. Where it cannot, we say so clearly.
Offtake agreements are structured to provide the buyer with a documented, reliable supply stream. This includes defined commodity specifications, volume commitments, pricing mechanisms, delivery schedules and documentation requirements.
What this includes
- Commodity supply against buyer specification
- Structured offtake agreements
- Grade and format matching to plant requirements
- Volume commitment and scheduling
- Supply documentation and certification
Applies to
All four commodity groups, recovered carbon black, chrome, chemicals and grains, supplied to the buyer's declared specification, volume and delivery schedule.
Note
PT Agora takes contractual positions. We do not operate as a broker or agent. The buyer's counterparty is PT Agora Africa Marketing.
Logistics Commodity supply, sourcing and trade coordination across Africa, South East Asia and global markets.
International commodity logistics is complex. Multiple service providers, regulatory requirements in two or more jurisdictions, port operations and freight market volatility all create execution risk. PT Agora manages this entire sequence as a single coordinated service.
Our logistics capability covers the full movement of goods from the origin facility to the nominated discharge port and, where required, to the buyer's plant gate. This includes inland haulage in the origin country, freight booking and loading supervision at the port of departure, ocean transit management, port of arrival operations, customs clearance in the destination country and final inland delivery.
All of this is managed under a single commercial relationship with PT Agora Africa Marketing. The buyer does not need to appoint a freight forwarder, customs agent or inland hauler separately. We coordinate these functions directly, reducing the risk of communication gaps or handover failures that commonly disrupt multi-provider logistics arrangements.
What this includes
- Inland haulage from origin facility to port
- Export documentation preparation and submission
- Ocean freight booking and cargo insurance
- Ocean freight booking and cargo insurance
- Freight forwarding and delivery documentation
- Last-mile inland delivery to buyer facility
Applies to
All commodity groups across all origin and destination markets. The logistics service is most relevant to buyers who do not have existing international freight relationships or who prefer to receive a CIF or DDP delivery rather than managing logistics in-house.
Note
Logistics structures, Incoterms, documentation requirements, insurance, are agreed at the supply agreement stage.
Material handling Commodity supply, sourcing and trade coordination across Africa, South East Asia and global markets.
Not all commodity buyers can accept material in the raw format in which it leaves the origin facility. PT Agora's material handling service prepares product to the exact format the receiving plant requires.
Material handling encompasses the physical preparation of product between origin and delivery, sizing, blending and repackaging as required by the buyer's specification or processing facility. This service is particularly relevant for buyers whose plants operate with strict input specifications or whose production processes require material in a specific particle size, moisture content or blend ratio.
Where material handling is part of the supply programme, we coordinate it as an integrated part of the logistics sequence rather than as a separate contract. This ensures that preparation standards are aligned with delivery requirements and that the buyer receives product ready for use.
What this includes
- Particle sizing and screening to specification
- Blending to target grade or ratio
- Repackaging, bags, bulk, big bags, drums
- Moisture management and conditioning
- Labelling and documentation to import requirements
Applies to
Most applicable to recovered carbon black (particle size and format), grains (moisture and packing) and chemicals (concentration and packaging). Applied to chrome and other minerals where the receiving plant requires a specific size fraction.
Note
Handling specifications are agreed at the supply agreement stage and confirmed by the receiving facility before processing begins.
Research and development Commodity supply, sourcing and trade coordination across Africa, South East Asia and global markets.
Commercial commodity supply does not always produce a product that precisely matches the buyer's technical requirement. PT Agora's R&D service bridges the gap between available product and the buyer's specification.
When the standard grade of a commodity does not fully meet the client's parameters, whether in particle size, chemical composition, moisture content, blend ratio or other technical criteria, we work with the producer and our handling facilities to modify the product to specification.
This may involve blending multiple source materials to achieve a target composition, processing product to reach a required particle size distribution, or adding value through a defined preparation step. In each case the modified product is tested against the buyer's specification before shipment, and supporting technical documentation is provided.
The R&D service is also used proactively: where a buyer's requirement identifies a gap in the current supply market, we investigate whether a product can be developed that meets the need at a commercially viable cost. This is particularly relevant for rCB applications where specific ash content, OAN value or other parameters are critical to performance.
What this includes
- Particle sizing and screening to specification
- Blending to target grade or ratio
- Repackaging, bags, bulk, big bags, drums
- Moisture management and conditioning
- Labelling and documentation to import requirements
Applies to
Most applicable to recovered carbon black (particle size and format), grains (moisture and packing) and chemicals (concentration and packaging). Applied to chrome and other minerals where the receiving plant requires a specific size fraction.
Note
Handling specifications are agreed at the supply agreement stage and confirmed by the receiving facility before processing begins.
